Four directors, four stories, four character that will amze you. it is an indonesian women movie presents a tragic ending. an anthology of four different short story with the same theme.Island's Story (Cerita Pulau) told a story of Sumantri (Rieke Dyah Pitaloka) who got cancer and she concern about her neighbour who is mentally ill, Wulan (Rachel maryam). She has raped and get pregnant. Jogjakarta's Story tell a story about Safina (Kirana Larasati) fall in love with Jay, she gave her virginity but Jay was only used her for a research. Cibinong's Story a story about Esi (Shanty) whose daughter is still at junior and being raped by her boyfriend. and finally her friend manipulate her because she wanted to sell her daughter to singapore as a whore. Jakarta's Story, Laksmi (Susan Bahtiar)got an AIDS from her Husband who had already dead and her husband"s family who don't like her trying to expel her and take bebe, her daughter, got not enough money, Laksmi give Bebe back to her grandparents because she cannot keep the pot boiling with her daughter.
a touchy movie, be ready to cry. Try to tell many loss of being a woman.
